Winnipeg police tactical team surrounds home on Boyd Avenue

Winnipeg police have surrounded a home onBoyd Avenue in the city's St. John's neighbourhood and are asking the public to avoid the area.

The police tactical unit arrived at the home on the 500 block of the streetjust before 2:30 p.m.

Const. Jay Murray said police are investigating a potentially serious incident that may involve weapons.
