Brian Pallister gets 2nd highest approval rating among premiers, survey finds

Manitoba's Brian Pallister is Canada's second-most popular premier, according to a new survey from Angus Reid.

It found 46 per cent of respondents in Manitoba approved of Pallister.

Meanwhile, 37 per cent disapproved and 17 per cent weren't sure.

The only premier to beat Pallister was Saskatchewan's Brad Wall.

The online survey got responses from about 5,300 Canadians, of which about 750 were Manitobans. It was conducted earlier this month.

A probabilistic sample of this size would yield a margin of error of +/- 2%, 19 times out of 20.

The Angus Reid Institute is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization that commissions and conducts public opinion research.
