Proud to be your local CBC

After two years of virtual events, CBC Manitoba is proud to sponsor this year's in person Winnipeg Pride Festival, which is also affiliated with Canada Pride. Pride Week is an opportunity to connect with colleagues, friends, family and loved ones to celebrate Two-spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Non-binary, Queer, and diverse communities in Manitoba. The events kickoff on May 27 with a Human Rights Conference at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, organized byCanada Pride.

Catch us at the Winnipeg Pride Parade

CBC/Radio-Canada Manitoba staff will be participating in the Winnipeg Pride Parade on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. The Pride Parade will start at the Manitoba Legislature, make its way through downtown Winnipeg, and end at The Forks. Give us a wave and collect our limited edition CBC Pride button.

The parade will feature a Grand Marshal, honorary Youth Marshal, and honorary Community Group Marshall, all of which are nominated by the 2SLGBTQ community.

Stay for the show

After the parade, join host Faith Fundal at the Winnipeg Pride main stage for an afternoon of entertainment and fun at the Forks. Special guests include Angela Baribeau, the della kit, Gay Jesus, Chezalon Leroux, Gladys Saturday, Myst Milano and Priyanka - winner of Canada's Drag Race.
