One person flown to hospital after crash at Dugald and Perimeter

One person was taken to hospital after a crash at the intersection of Dugald Road and the Perimeter Highway.

STARS Air Ambulance was called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday.

An adult patient was taken to Health Sciences Centre and given critical care, a spokesperson for STARS said. A doctor was onboard the flight, which happens for about 10% of STARS flights, the spokesperson said.

The Winnipeg Police Service and firefighters from the RM of Springfield and Winnipeg also responded.

There's no word yet on what caused the crash.
