Fire at Winnipeg home sends man to hospital

A man was taken to hospital in stable conditionafter an overnight fire that damaged two homes in Winnipeg's North End.

Officials say the fire started at 690 Pritchard Ave. at about1:30 a.m. on Monday, with flames seen shooting through the roof.

It then spreadto a neighbouring home at 688 Pritchard.

Damage to the first home is estimated at $115,000 and damage to 688 Pritchard is $135,000.
