Garven Road head-on crash sends woman to hospital

A 38-year-old woman is inhospital after a head-on crashnortheast of Winnipeg on Thursday morning.

A Ford Escape and a Honda Pilotwere involved in the crash, which shut downGarvenRoadjust after 7 a.m.

The STARS air ambulance was called to the scene, fivekilometres west of Highway 12, to help treatone of the drivers. The patient was transported to hospital by ground ambulance.

RCMP did not have an update on the woman's condition as of Thursday afternoon.

A woman from the Springfield area is facing charges in relation to the crash.
