Death of 61-year-old man near O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation considered homicide

South Indian Lake RCMP are investigating the death of aman as a homicide.

Mounties responded to a report of the 61-year-old man's death on Saturday at 7:50p.m., RCMP said in a news release Sunday.

They found the man "with obvious injuries" in a wooded area outsideO-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation, which is also known as South Indian Lake.

The remote Manitoba community is about 130 kilometres northwest of Thompson.
