Man dies after being hit by a car on highway near Morden

A pedestrian died Tuesday after he was hit by a car on Highway 3, RCMP say. The man had been reported walking in the middle of the road, Mounties say.

A 32-year-old Somerset man has died after he was hit by a car on a highway a few kilometres east of Morden, Man., Pembina Valley RCMP say.

The crash happened after police received reports around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday that a man was walking in the middle of Highway 3, near Road 25 W.

The driver of the vehicle was a 17-year-old from Winkler who was not physically hurt, RCMP said.

An investigationbyPembina Valley RCMP and anRCMP forensic collision reconstructionist is ongoing.
