What to know about the Burrows riding for Manitoba's 2023 election

The Burrows riding takes up an older part of Winnipeg's North End, bounded by Keewatin Street, Selkirk Avenue and the CP Railway in the west, the CPR main line in the south, Arlington Street, Inkster Boulevard and McPhillips Street in the east and Jefferson Avenue and Adsum Drive in the north.

The Burrows riding has been around since 1958. This Winnipeg riding takes up an older part of the city's North end, bounded by Keewatin Street, Selkirk Avenue and the CP Railway in the west, the CPR main line in the south, Arlington Street, Inkster Boulevard and McPhillips Street in the east and Jefferson Avenue and Adsum Drive in the north.

The riding includes the Inkster Industrial Park, Shaughnessy Heights and Burrows Central neighbourhoods.

Its population is 24,825 according to the province's riding profile.

Half of the riding's residents identified as immigrants in the 2021 census.

The median age of the riding's population is 37.2, according to the profile prepared by the Manitoba Bureau of Statistics, based on information from the 2021 census.
