A woman in her 60s was killed on Aug. 3 after being hit on Marion Street near Traverse Avenue by a truck pulling a trailer around11:40 a.m. By the time police and emergency responders arrived, the vehiclewas nowhere to be found. The victim's name has not been released.

"This pedestrian was exiting the vehicle," said Murray, adding there's no possible way the driver didn't know they hit someone. "This wasn't a case of somebody getting clipped by a trailer and the driver not knowing about it. We believe this driver fully knows what happened."

Const. Jay Murray said Tuesday thetruck was abandoned in the Dufresne area, near Marion and Archibald. Police found the truck a day after the hit and run. Later that day, they also found the trailer in St. Bonifacethanks to tips from the public. Murray said one of them was found in a back lane and both were located in residential neighbourhoods.

Murray said police are still investigating if the abandoned vehicles were connected to any homes in the area near where they werefound.

Now police are asking for the public to come forth with any video footage of the truck and trailer that may be on privately owned cameras, like dash cams.

"It is believed that this truck and trailer had travelled in the Sargent Park/Minto area at approximately 11 a.m., followed by a section of Harkness Avenue and Main Street near Queen Elizabeth Way prior to the collision," said Murray."It's a pretty distinct truck and trailer."

Both the truck and the trailer werestolen, butfrom separate locations, said Murray.

Policeare hoping someone might have a description of the driver to give to police. "That's one of the reasons we are requesting this video footage," said Murray.

On Tuesday morning, a memorial was growingat the scene. Several bouquets of flowers and notes were stacked near where the woman died. "I miss you so much," readone. "My heart goes out to your family," readanother.
