70-year-old woman from Piney, Man., last seen more than one week ago

A 70-year-old woman from the RM of Piney, Man., hasn't been since for more than one week, RCMP say.

Ywanna (Jean) Backman wasn't at her home in Piney, about 115 kilometres southeast of Winnipeg, when RCMP responded to a request to check on her onOct. 19,Mounties said in a Friday statement.

She was last seen on Oct. 13. RCMP said her family is concerned for her well-being.

RCMP's search and rescue team has been looking for Backman.
