The steering wheel of the Paddlewheel Princess river boat has been found, and Winnipeg police have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with its disappearance.

The Paddlewheel Princess's large wooden wheel was swiped during a break-in sometime between Aug. 22 or 23. Winnipeg police announced Thursday that the wheel has been located at a home in the 100 block of Machray Avenue. A man living in the home was arrested. (CBC)

The ship's large wooden wheel was removed and taken during a break-in sometime between Aug. 22 or 23, while it was docked in the Redwood Avenue area.

Officers located the steering wheel at a home in the 100 block of Machray Avenue and arrested the man who was living there on Wednesday, police saidThursday.

The man has been released on a promise to appear. Police did not release his name.
