32-year-old pedestrian dead after collision at Notre Dame and McPhillips

A 32-year-old woman is dead after she was hit by a passenger vehicle early Monday morning.

A 32-year-old Winnipeg womanis dead after she was hit by a passenger vehicleearly Monday morning.

Winnipeg police were called to the collisionat Notre Dame Avenue and McPhillips Street shortly after midnight, a Monday news release said.

Paramedics tookthe pedestrianin unstable condition to hospital, where she later died.

Police said they have notified the woman's family.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene of the crash and spoke to officers.

Thepolice service's traffic division is still investigating the crash. Police are asking anyone with information about the collision, including video or dashcam video footage, to call investigators at 204-986-7085, or contact Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477 (TIPS)or online.
