Perimeter Highway reopens after being closed due to icy road conditions

Winnipeg's PerimeterHighway has reopened after closing Wednesday night due to poor winter driving conditions.

The road closure came into effect just after 10 p.m. for Highway 100 andHighway 101 due to blowing snow and icy roads, a news release said.

The province's online map showedthe closure impactedthe entire route that surrounds Winnipeg.

An update from the province that the highwayhad been reopened was sent shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday.
