2 arrested after stabbing outside downtown Winnipeg hotel

Police tape surrounds part of a downtown Winnipeg hotel followinganearly-morning stabbing that sent one person to hospital.

A section of parking lot next to the front entranceof the Quest Inn is blocked off and crumpled clothing and discarded medical gloves can be seen on the pavement.

Policewere called to the hotel, atthe corner ofElliceAvenue andCarltonStreet,around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

A number of people were involved in the violence and two people have been arrested, police said. No charges have yet been laid.

The person who was stabbed is listed in stable condition.
