Pollock's Hardware looks to expand into south Osborne

Business is so brisk at Pollock's Hardware,the North End co-op is looking to expand into Winnipeg's south Osborne area.

It's been a remarkable turnaround for the 91-year-oldstore that was forced to close in 2007 when its owners retired.

Soon after, a group of neighbours rallied to turn it into a co-op and keep it open.

Next week, Pollock's holds an open house at Riverview Community Centre to ask people there if they'd like to see a similar store in that area.

If it gets the green light, the new location could open in October.
