Inmate dies at Stony Mountain Institution

A man who was serving time at a prison north of Winnipeg has died in custody.

Andrew Rae, an inmate at Stony Mountain Institution, died on Tuesday, according to a news release from theCorrectional Service of Canada.

Rae, who had been in custody since Nov. 10, was serving a sentence of two years and nine months for manslaughter, according to the Thursday news release.

Corrections Canada said it is reviewing thecircumstances surrounding Rae's death. No other details have been released.
