3 charged in 2005 triple homicide

RCMP in Manitoba have charged three men with first-degree murder in a 2005 triple homicide in St. Leon, Man.

RCMP in Manitoba have charged three men with first-degree murder in a 2005 triple homicide in St. Leon, Man.

The Labossiere family's farmhouse in St Leon was destroyed by fire in November 2005.

Police discovered the bodies of Fernand, 78, his wife Rita, 74, as well as their 44-year-old son, Remi, in the burned house.

Police said all three had been shot to death prior to the fire.\

Now the Mounties have charged another of Fernand and Rita's sons 37-year- Denis Jerome Labossiere inthe deaths.A 22-year-old B.C. man and a 21-year-old man from Winnipeg were also charged.

The three men each face three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of conspiracy to commit murder.They are being held in custody.

Police continue to investigate if the St Leon triple homicide is connected to the execution-style killings of Joel Labossiere and his pregnant wife, Maggie, in their Winnipeg home nearly two weeks ago.Joel was Fernand and Rita's grandson; the family had been embroiled in a dispute over the elder Labossieres' estate.
