For the last two weeks, Shane Yaworski has been parading at the corner of Plessis Road and Rosseau Avenue West, carrying a homemade sign that warns oncoming traffic of a photo radar truck lying in wait behind some trees.

"Ijust wanted to warn the peoplemake them aware it's only 50 km/hhere solet's slow down, let's not have to pay the city any more money. You earn your money;keep it, he said.

Yaworksi says people in the area have been showing their thanks, giving him everything from water to pizza.

Todd Dube with Wise Up Winnipeg, a group dedicated to fighting photo radar, says in the last three weeks photo radar vehicles have issued a ticket every 44 seconds at that intersection.
