Last week, some McCartney fans were upset to see last-minute tickets being soldon websites like StubHub for well below official prices.

McCartney's last performance in the Manitoba capital was on May 21, 1993, at Winnipeg Stadium.

For onelocal family, the appeal of the Beatles legend spans generations.

Even thoughMcCartney is 71 years old now, he is adored byeight-year-old Nathan Canada.

Nathan's friends don't get it, though.

"They don't really like Paul McCartney. He's this old dude [to them]," Canada said."I like him."

Nathan's mom, Andrea, was behind a petition that helped bring McCartney to the city in 1993.

"I went to bars, record stores, stood on Portage and Main. Like, I went anywhere to get signatures on this petition," she said.

Later that year,it was announced McCartney was coming.Andrea was able to meet him, shakehis hand, and then break into weeps of joy.

She hopes tomeet him again, this time with Nathan.

"[That is]the most exciting thing about this concert," she said.
