Manslaughter charge laid in city's 14th homicide of 2019

A man accused of stabbing an acquaintance while they were drinking in the accused's apartment has been charged with manslaughter, Winnipeg police say.

A man accused of stabbing an acquaintance while they were drinking in the accused's apartment has been charged with manslaughter, Winnipeg police say.

Dustin AvromGlow, 24, of Winnipeg remains in custody in connection with the stabbing in hisapartment suite on Taylor Avenueearly Sunday morning.

Police have also identified the victim Dylan Brian Hanchar, 24, of Winnipeg, the city's14th homicide of2019.

Police saidthe two men knew each other, and were drinking in Glow's apartment suite when they got into an argument.

Police said a neighbour heard the fight and called 911.

Police say that when officers arrivedthey found the two men alone inside the suite. They arrested Glow, andHanchar was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he died of his wounds.
