Winnipeg ends mosquito fogging for the year

Trap counts low, and cooler weather on the way means mosquito activity won't be much of a factor.

The City of Winnipegis endingits mosquito fogging program for 2015.

The city-wide average trap count on Thursday was just eight, with all quadrants substantially below 100.

Combined with forecasted cool temperatures over the next 10 days, mosquito activity is expected to drop off, the city stated in a press release issued Thursday.
