Workplace Safety investigates death

A suspected carbon monoxide death at a business in the community of St. Adolphe is being investigated byWorkplace Safety and Health.

Officials are looking into the death of Bill Senderewich, the long-time proprietor of the St. Adolphe Motor Inn.

The 59-year-old man was discovered unconscious Dec. 9 inside the hotel, located about 14 kilometres south of Winnipeg. He was rushed to hospital in Winnipeg where he remained until he died on Dec. 18.

Carbon monoxide is an odourless, colourless and tasteless gas that is toxic to humans and animals.
