Prosecutors allege Yang and Wang kidnapped a boy in Brossard, Que., with the intent to confine or imprison him against his will and intendedto transport him outside of Canada.

They are slated to appear in court again on Thursday, this time in person, for a bail hearing.

A publication banprevents the release of information that would identify the child.
