Chapters in Montreal to be replaced by Victoria's Secret

The Chapters bookstore in the heart of downtown Montreal will soon shutter its doors, swapping books for bras as Victoria's Secret prepares to move in.

The bookstore at the corner ofSte-Catherine and Stanley streets is slated to close this fall and will bereplaced by the second-largest Victoria's Secret store in the world.

Chapters will consolidate its downtown Montreal operations at the Indigo location just a few blocks away.

The 35,000-square-foot store will house the popular lingerie retailer'sfirst Montreal location.

Victoria's Secret first came to Quebecin 2012when it opened a store inCarrefour Laval.

The store's newlocation will be directly across the street from a La Senzalingerie store.

Both companies are owned by the American-basedL Brands.
