Half of lanes around Viger Tunnel closed until November 2017

More headaches are coming for drivers who use Highway 720. Starting today, half of the lanes around the Viger Tunnel will be closed until the end of November 2017.

More headaches are coming for drivers who use Highway 720.

Starting on Monday at 5 a.m.,two out of four westbound lanes will be closed from PanetStreet to Exit 5/ Highway 10/Robert-Bourassa Boulevard/ Champlain Bridgestarting Monday at 5 a.m.

BeginningWednesday at 5 a.m.,two out of four eastbound lanes will be closedbetween Exit 6/ St-Laurent Boulevard andSaint-Denis Street.

Those lanes will remainclosed until Nov. 30, 2017. Transports Qubec hopes to complete the workin time for Montreal's375thanniversary.

The closures are part of larger work being done on the Ville-Marie Expresswayandinclude the pedestrian passageway leading to the Champ-de-Mars metroundergroundtunnel, which hasbeen closed since April 11.

Transports Qubec saidwork around the the VigerTunnel will at timeslead to complete closure of that section of Highway 720 and drivers will be notified ahead of time.
