Montreal police seek suspected pimp with gang ties during Grand Prix weekend

Montreal police are seeking the public's help finding a "dangerous" suspect who they believe is in town for Grand Prix weekend. There is a Canada-wide warrant for Muhidiin Ahmed Farah's arrest.

Montreal police are seeking the public's help finding a "dangerous" suspect who they believe is in town forGrand Prix weekend.

Muhidiin Ahmed Farah, 31,is an alleged pimp and a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred in May in the Cte-des-NeigesNotre-Dame-de-Grce borough.

Police say Farah and his accomplice, Daniel Khet,brutally attacked a victim in a hotel using a firearm. They escaped on foot, but video surveillance allowed investigators to identify them.

WhileKhet was arrested and charged, Farah remains at large. There is a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.

Police say he regularly travels by train to Saskatoon and Montreal.They believe he may be in town for Grand Prix festivities.

Farah is black and has brown eyes. He is six feet tall and weighs 187 pounds.

Police are urging caution because Farah isconsidered to be dangerous and may be armed. They believeFarahmay also have ties to street gangs.

Anyone with information isasked to call 911 immediately.
