Parti Qubcois wants to poach voters from CAQ

The Parti Qubcois is hoping to steal away support from the Coalition Avenir Qubec by mirroring some of its economic policies, such as the party's $1,000 tax break for the middle class.

The Parti Qubcoisis hoping to steal away support from theCoalition Avenir Qubec by mirroring some of its economic policies, such as the party's $1,000 tax break for the middle class.

The PQ also plans to set up focus groups to refine its economic platform to convinceQuebecersto vote for its party,Radio-Canada has learned.

The secret plan was discussedduring the PQ'sweekend conference inTrois-Rivires.

The goal of the planis to mobilise nationalists who did not vote in the 2014 provincial election and "unite allsovereignists" by 2018.
