1 dead in house fire in Portneuf, Que.

One person died in a house fire Tuesday night in the Portneuf region, westof Quebec City.

Emergency services were called to intervene around 9 p.m. at a house situated on Route 138, between the Neuville and Cap-Santareas.

Once the blaze was extinguished,firefighters found a body in the rubble.

An investigation is open to understand the causes and circumstances of the event.

The identity of the victim has not yet been revealed.
