Quebec Citys port is experiencing a cruise ship traffic jam.

By the end of the day, six cruise ships will be docked in Quebecs capital.

The Legend of the Seas, the Norwegian Dawn, Ruby Princess, Seven Seas Navigator, Europa and Maasdam are each unloading their passengers into the city.

Leaving some 20,000 passengers to roamthe streets of Old Quebec.

Adding to the action,Holland Americas ship Veendamwhich broke down in the port last weekend, stillhasnt been able to leave. Its been towed away further away to make room for the incoming cruise ships.

This cruise ship season is the busiest season ever for the Port of Quebec: 103 ships and 164,400 visitors will have passed through Quebec City by November.

The economic impact of cruises in Quebec is $23 million dollars per year.

As for Veendam, divers are working to repair the propulsion system.
