The vaccineagainst the coronavirus has arrived.

The Maimonides Geriatric Centre in Cte Saint-Luc and the Saint-Antoine CHSLD in Quebec City arethe first two long-term care facilities in Quebecto receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

The vaccine comes as the number of daily cases and hospitalizations continues to rise. Quebec reported 1,898 caseson Saturday and another1,994 on Sunday.

Premier Franois Legaultis expected to announce new restrictions Tuesday in attempt to reverse that trend.

Of the 30,000 dosesarriving in Canada in the coming days,Quebec is expecting about 4,000.
