Police seek suspect after homeowner assaulted stopping theft of ATV

A homeowner in Estey's Bridge was assaulted trying to prevent two men from stealing an ATV from his property, and the RCMP are seeking the public's help in identifying one of the suspects from a sketch.

RCMP are seeking the public's help after a homeowner in Estey's Bridge was assaulted by two men who were attempting to steal an ATV from his property.

The homeowner interrupted the would-be thieves on May 15, at around 2:20 a.m., Cpl. J.F. Martelof the Keswick detachment said in a news release on Thursday.

The two men fledand the homeowner, who was injured in the attack, was transported by ambulance to the hospital, where he was treated and released, said Martel.

Police have released a sketch of one of the suspects in hopes someone can identify him.

The sketch is based on a detailed description the homeowner provided to the RCMP'sforensic facial imaging section, said Martel.
