Instructions to the jury begin on Tuesday in second-degree murder trial in Saint John

The jury will be given instructions on how to reach a verdictin the second-degree murder trial of Dennis Oland Tuesday morning in Saint John.

The process is expected to take more than a day andJudgeJohn Walshadvised the jurorsto bring a bag with them, because they will be sequestered until they can reach a unanimous verdict.

The lawyers made the statements on Mondaywhile delivering their closing arguments to the jury in the Saint John courtroom.

Theypresentedtwo vastly different versions of the evidence, but both urged the jurors to use common sense in deciding the case in their favour.
