Dennis Oland's second-degree murder trial Oct. 20

The second-degree murder trial of Dennis Oland will continue Tuesday morning in Saint John with a new witness on the stand.

Bloodstain expert, RCMP Sgt. Brian Wentzell,testified Monday that he can't say whether the bloodstains found on Dennis Oland's brown sports jacket are connected to his father,Richard Oland'smurder.

Wentzellfoundtwo stains on the right sleeve of DennisOland'sjacket, one on the upper left chest area and on the inside cuff of each sleeve.

Defence lawyer Alan Goldraised questions about the absence of blood found anywhere else, despite there being no evidence that the killer attempted to clean him or herself up.

Richard Oland'sbody was discovered lying face down in a large pool of blood, with45 blunt and sharp force injuries to his head, neck and hands. Dennis Oland was the last known person to see his father alive.
