Fredericton crash kills 3

Three menwere killedanda womanwas injuredearly Saturdayin a single-vehiclecrash in New Brunswick's capital.

Fredericton policeare releasing fewdetails about the accident, whichhappened around 2:30 a.m. AT alongside the Saint John River in the downtown area.

Cpl. Timothy Sowers said a Pontiac Firebird travelling northbound on Regent Street left the road and entered the water nearthe city'slighthouse.

Sowers said a woman managed to escape the vehicle.Sheremains in hospital with minor injuries but is expected to be released soon, he added.

Sowers couldn't say what likely caused the accident.

The victims' names have not been released.
