The second-degree murder trial of Dennis Oland is continuing this morning in Saint John with Robert McFadden, a long-time business associated with Richard Oland, back on the stand.

The second-degree murder trial of Dennis Olandiscontinuingthis morning in Saint John withRobertMcFadden, a long-time business associated with Richard Oland, back on the stand.

After Oland's death in 2011,Dennis Olandand McFaddenwereco-executorsof his will andbecame co-directors of his three businesses, the court heard Tuesday.

McFadden did not fully co-operate with the police investigation,herefused to provide a DNA sample, but police subsequently obtained a "cast-off" DNA sample covertly, seizing a straw he had used at East Side Mario's on Dec. 29, 2013.

A handwrittento-do list found on McFadden's desk at RichardOland's office had"will" as the sixth item. Richard Oland wasconsidering changing his will.

The court also learned that McFaddenknew of Richard Oland'saffair withDiana Sedlacek.

Dennis Oland requested that McFaddensuggest to his father that word about the affair was "getting out" and "to cool it."
