St. Stephen RCMP seek vehicle used in hit and run that left pedestrian dead

RCMP say a 24-year-old woman was killed Thursday in a hit and run in St. Stephen.

RCMP say a 24-year-old woman was killed Thursday in a hit and run in St. Stephen.

Police are looking for the vehicle that struck the woman, a pedestrian, while driving "at a high rate of speed" on Pleasant Street.

They responded to reports of the collision at about 6:30 a.m.

The victim,who's name has not been released, died at the scene. The individual driving the vehicle did not remain, police said.

RCMP provided no details about the vehicle except that it would have"significant front-end damage."

They would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has dash-cam or security footage of the area at the time.
