2 men stabbed in Paradise subdivision

Two men were stabbed early Saturday morning during an altercation in a normally quiet subdivision just outside St. John's.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary were called to a fight on Carlisle Drive, in the Elizabeth Park subdivision in Paradise, around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

The suspect in the double stabbing had already fled the scene.

Both stabbing victims were listed in critical but stable condition at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's.

Police tape was still marking the area Saturday morning, and members of the RNC's major crime unit were collecting evidence.
