Grit candidate Graham Letto criticized for not being rooted in Labrador West

Labrador West Liberal candidateGraham Letto is takingheat from opponents for being a fly-in-fly-out candidate during the Newfoundland and Labrador provincial election.

"That's absolutely false," said Letto. "I have everyintention of living in Labrador West."

Letto,the former mayor of Labrador City,told CBC he has a residence inLabrador West and addedhe was born,and raised his family, in Labrador.

"So I'm Labradorian,Labrador West is my home," said Letto.

Lettosaid he left Labrador five years ago for family commitments and his permanent residence in Labrador West hinges on election night results.

"We left to look after grandchildren and we still have those commitments, so that remains to be seen," said Letto.

Lettohas run in the past for the Tories, but he's been working with the Liberals over the past couple of years.

The Newfoundland and Labrador electionwill take placeNov.30.
