A caribou stands next to a statue of a cod fish on a beach.
If anyone wants to know what Newfoundland and Labrador is like, maybe just save time and show them this shot from Port au Choix. (Submitted by Amanda Gould)

There are photos that scream "Newfoundland and Labrador" and then there's a caribou hanging out with a statue of a cod.

Of course, all these photos are shouting something about our province in one way or another. Enjoy this week's photos, then scroll to the bottom to see how you can join in with next week's gallery!

We saw a lot of photos of the northern lights on their visit south this week, but few as spectacular as this one of Spillars Cove. (Submitted by Johnny Lam)

Have a photo you'd like to share?

Here's how to get in touch with us: email nlphotos@cbc.ca. It's a dedicated address just for photo submissions from across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Here's what we need from you: your name, where the photo was taken and a caption that tells us what's in the image. We encourage you to add any information you think our readers would enjoy!

We share the photos we receive here, and we might also use them on Here & Now each weeknight during Ashley Brauweiler's weather segments. And we always give credit.

Because of the volume of submissions we receive, we cannot respond to everyone.
