MHA Keith Russell is no longer part of a lawsuit launched by the Bank of Nova Scotia.

A spokesperson for the minister of Labrador and Aboriginal Affairsconfirmed that Russell is no longer being sued by the bank.

Russell was originally being sued for $40,000 plus interest in relation to a loan the bank had made to a company that he was involved with.

Court documents claimed that at the time, Russell had provided a personal guarantee for the loan.

A lawyer for the Bank of Nova Scotia confirmed the action involving Russell has been resolved.
