Apparent Paradise stabbing sends man to hospital, police say

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says it is investigating a serious assault that occurred overnight in Paradise.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says it is investigating a serious assault that occurred overnight in Paradise.

Police said they arrived at Trails End Drive at approximately5:10 a.m. on Saturday after receiving a report of an "unconscious male on the ground."

The incident is still under investigation, but the RNC said the man appears to have wounds consistent with a stabbing.

Officers from the RNC patrol services division, the criminal investigation division, forensic identification services, police dog services and Eastern Health paramedics were all present at the scene.

Anadult male was taken to the hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

No arrests have been made at this time and anybody with information on the crime is being encouraged to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
