Eastern Health releasing review of paramedic services

Eastern Health will be releasing the results of a review of its paramedic services on Thursday in St. John's.

Eastern Health will be releasing the results of a review of its paramedic services on Thursday in St. John's.

In January, Eastern Health hired PomaxConstulingto dothe operational review of its paramedicine and medical transport, aiming for a completed review by February.

Thereview was prompted bya "red alert" situation, meaning there was no ambulance available to respond.

Eastern Health said the resultswill be unveilled at 12:15 p.m. at its offices on Pippy Place.

Corey Banks, director of paramedicine and medical transport with Eastern Health, will present the findings of the independent report.

Eastern Health CEO David Diamond and Health Minister Steve Kent will also be taking questions.
