Raymond Stacey's bail hearing postponed indefinitely

Raymond Stacey, the man accused of stabbing his chicken farm coworker to death last month in Mount Pearl, has had his bail hearing delayed.

Raymond Stacey, the man accused of stabbing his chicken farm coworker to death last month in Mount Pearl, has had his bail hearing delayed.

Stacey, 23, was represented by his defence lawyer Bob Buckingham when the case was called in St. John's court on Thursday.

At the request of Stacey's defence, the bail hearing, which began Tuesday, was postponed.

The reason behind the delay is unknown.

No new date has been set for bail to be argued.

It is alleged Stacey stabbed Clifford Comerford, 41, in a work shuttle van on Greenwood Crescent, a small street off Topsail Road nearthe former Sobey's Square shopping mall.

Comerford, who's from St. Mary's Bay, diedhours later at the Health Sciences Centre on Jan. 11.
