Cash robbed from Bell Island Legion

Branch 18 of the Royal Canadian Legion on Bell Island was held up on Tuesday, with the robbersescaping with a quantity of cash.

The RCMP say two people entered the legion wearing dark clothing and ski masks and demanded the lone bartender give them all the cash.

The bartender told police that the suspectsdisabled the phone before fleeing the scene.

No arrests have yet been made in connection with the robbery.
