A Yellowknife mother and the N.W.T.'sFrench school board are welcominga court decision ordering that the territorial education minister reconsiderher refusal to admit a child in the city's francophone school.

In their application for judicial review, the applicants argue Education Minister Caroline Cochranemisused her discretion by refusing that the child, born in Canada from new immigrants and non-rights holder parents, be enroled in cole Allain St-Cyr last fall.
