It's calving season at the Yukon Wildlife Preserve and it's been a busy week with onebaby muskox born on Easter Mondayand three more followingover the next three days.

According to preserve staff, that's just the beginning.

"We're expecting a lot of babies actually, quite a few," said wildlife curator Maria Hallock. "Every herd is going to have some. We'll have mule deer, elk, bison, mountain goats, mountain sheep, caribou, a lynx kitten."

There are eight females in the preserve's muskox herd. Six are expected to have babies this year, so that means two more are expected in time for tourist season.
