Globetrotter Bostjan Skrlj's stolen motorcycle found stripped of parts

A Slovenian adventurer whose prized motorcycle was stolen in Whitehorse last month has recovered what's left of the bike. It's been stripped of parts and trashed.

A globetrotting adventurer whose motorcycle was stolen in Whitehorse last month has his prized BMWAdventurerback, but there's not much left of the world-travelledbike.

"When I sawthe bike I was happy and angry at the same time," saysBostjan Skrlj.

The motorcyclehadbeen crudelystripped for parts.

"When you see it in the shape it is right now it makes you really angry because you know somebody who did this didn't know what he was doing," saysSkrlj.

Heguessesthe culprit would have made "a couple hundred bucks" from the parts.

"It's hard to understand," he says.

The stolen motorcycle was the subject of a social media campaign in Whitehorse since it was stolen May10.

Skrljsays he was tipped off last week by an anonymous callerwho claimed to have found his bike.Skrljcontacted Whitehorse RCMP, who made the recovery Saturday.

Police are releasing few details, saying they must preserve the integrity of their ongoing investigation.

Skrljsays he plans to restore the bike and continue his journey around the world.
