Man killed crossing Whitehorse street identified

Whitehorse resident William Marvin Lagimodiere, 69, was killed crossing Fourth Avenue in front of the Tags store.

A 69-year-old manwho died after being hitby an SUV last Wednesday in Whitehorse has been identified.

The Yukon Coroner's office says Whitehorse resident William Marvin Lagimodiere died in the Whitehorse General Hospital on Thursday from his injuries.

RCMP say the man was crossing Fourth Avenue between Ray Street and Second Avenue when he was hit by a vehicle.

RCMP Const.Dean Hoogland says the driver was sober and is co-operating with the investigation.

Police are still interviewing witnesses and are asking for anyone who might have seen the accident to get in touch.
