Hunterand gatherers

What: The Guild Society presents its last play of this season, Hunter Gatherers by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb. It's described as a dark comedy where the line between civilized and primal man is blurred. It stars local actors Carrie Burgess, Mike Ellis, Brynn Lepp and Jason Westover and Vancouver director Brian Cochrane. It's recommended for mature audiences. Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival

What: A program of outdoor and mountaineering films comes to the Kluane region. You can see the best films from the Vancouver festival, along with some local films.

Sanktuary CD release

What: Whitehorse heavy metal band Sanktuary is holding a concert to release its album, Winter's Doom.

Where:Jarvis Street Saloon, Whitehorse

Rotary Music Festival

What: Yukon musicians and dancers have been performing for festival adjudicators at the 2016 Rotary Music Festival. The final concerts are set for this weekend.
When: Junior-level concert,Friday,7 p.m., Senior-level concert,Saturday,7 p.m.
